Our California Trip!

SOOOO we set out for California on Thursday July 12th, we'd already experienced issues with our return flight through allegiant air, had to lose money and get vouchers...which we probably wont use, ugh, but i got over it and came to grips that we'd have to drive back. The drive really wasnt that bad and I got to put my feet on Brock whenever my feet started to swell. So we were super excited and we stopped in St. George for the night, at 3am Annabelle started throwing up! Poor baby threw up all night and twice in the car when we left the next day. We arrived in San Diego friday night and Saturday morning I started throwing up....then saturday night Brock started throwing up, Sunday morning Brocks brother started throwing up! What a way to start the vacation! Good news was they each only lasted about 12 hours and we were lucky we all got sick on non work/ or play days. So we were blessed. Monday we went to Seaworld, then everyone worked tuesday, wednesday we went to Disneyland, Thursday we worked, Friday we worked then went to the beach and Coronado Island, Saturday we worked then we headed back to st. george and got home on Sunday. We were all exhausted! Annabelle stayed at Brocks parents sunday night because I had to do my fast and glucose drink early monday morning :( yuck! And I got the wonderful news that I have gestastional diabetes...so now I have to get on a low carb diet. Hopefully I dont end up having a gianormous baby...scary. Anyway here are some pics from the trip!

Mormon Batallion- This was such a cool exhibit, I had never heard this story before but it was soooo good! I recommend it to anyone going to San Diego.

So what more could Annabelle ask for then to have an Elmo theme park inside of Sea World, as she waited in line with Grandma she kept saying "MO!"

Memorial Day Hike!

Seems like this Memorial Day weekend we had so many plans, and all of them kept changing. We orginally planned to hike the wind caves...but it was going to snow there...so we decided to go to the cabin...but Brock's Uncle was at the cabin with his family...Then we decided to hike Iron Bog and possibly camp out. It was too cold so we settled for a Day hike to Iron Bog...We started out the day with chocolate chip peanut butter pancakes! mmmmm!

Brocks family, us, Karly, Wade, & Wade's Dad drove up to Iron Bog and Guess what we found?! A sign saying the bridge was out! We were a couple miles from our destination...Plans changed again. So we decided to just stop where we were, get the dutch oven going thanks to Brock's Dad and go on an adventure hike...meaning we didn't really know where we were headed haha. It was really great until we hit this patch that was super thick with these branches that had thorns, but we got passed it and i'm proud to say that I did the hike being 5 months pregnant!

Our Cruise

It's so nice to have a sun tan in April! We decided a while back to go on a cruise and it seemed so far away! Months go by, then the weeks start getting closer, and the week before I was sooo excited!! The day before I was feeling anxious about leaving Annabelle for 4 nights...but we did and it was sooo much fun! Annabelle stayed with Brock's parents and Loved it! She got to jump on the bed and eat peanut butter m&m's all week. Plus she always eats Brock's Mom's Cookin' no matter what it is! I think she looked a little plumper :). We missed her though, on the ship we'd see other babies and thought how much Annabelle would LOVE to play in the water! We first went to Catalina Island and got to do a Kyaking Excursion with J.P. He showed us all over and took us snorkeling. We saw a lot of bright orange fish that looked like giant gold fish, some little blue fish, a leopard shark, and a bottle nosed shark. When Brock went snorkeling the 2nd time he saw a giant crab, starfish, and lobster. We're hoping our underwater camera worked! It was my first time snorkeling, so it was kinda scary when you're swimming through kelp forests, not knowing what might swim out at you...especially since our guide told me that marine life are attracted to pregnant women, YIKES! But no worries I survived :). Our guide even brought his spear gun but didn't see anything to catch. 5 hours later we were about to die from exhaustion because we were in a hurry to get back on the ship before it left!

 Next our Cruise stopped at Ensenada, Mexico. We took the tour to the Blow Hole. It was pretty cool, but the best part was the market you walk through that has all sorts of Mexican style dresses, shoes, etc. I love bartering as we did that alot in Ecuador so it was fun to use some spanish, its kind of like a game. We got Brock and Annabelle sandals, and I got a necklace. Love Shopping :)
